Previous attempt to contact you directly on December 3, 2008 failed, resulting in this final notification. For security reasons, we advise that you keep this award from public notice until your claims have been finalized. This will help us precent fraud and double claims. In order to facilitate speedy and hassle free processing of your claim, we have deducted #3, 900 from your total prize to enable you pay for the applicable Tax. This letter includes that all prizes must be claimed by December 22th, 2008 along with office hours to call and signed by Sara Dose Vice President. The Check that was included was made out to me for $3, 900 and looks completely offical. The check has the security featuers you might find in a money order from your bank or any type of offical check from employment or the government. The bank is a real bank "People's Bank Connecticut" but doesn't include any address or phone numbers. I took the check to my bank to see what they had to say about it and the chasier said he has seen several of these type of checks lately and it is a scam.
The Company and area code are from Canada and the street address doesn't exist. This is a very crude scam to do to people around the holidays and in the type of economy we are in.
