I ordered what I thought was a sound product on line. Acai Slim who boasts Ophra Whinfrey as a spokes person. I ordered a free trial knowing a charge of $5.02 (14 Nov 08) would be charged to my Visa on a secure website. What this website fails to make clear is that the Power Tea which I did not even click as wanting was also charged to my visa for $44.49 (14 Nov 09). What I did not know was this was a continuous order and I was further charged $77.87 (05 Dec 08). I later noticed yet another charge on my visa for $79.08 (22 Dec 08).
On top of all this, the company is in coohoots with fit-fac.com who charges you a further $25.84 (04 Dec 08) and $25.04 (05 Jan 09) this whole sceme is getting far too out of hand. I received two bottles of Acai Slim and one of the Power tea, but no product whatsoever from fit-fac.com.
I had to get my visa company to get intouch with these companies with me on the line on a conf call in order to straighten out what I could. I got the money back for the fit-fac.com 2 purchases on my visa, but dealing with Acai-Slim I met with a very ignorant customer service representative who directed me to the website he claims I visited. LOOKED NOTHING like the original web I visited (I had printed off the pages when I purchased the product... none of the terms printed off amazingly as he claimed in any of the paperwork I printed.
He implied I was lying, however agreed to reimburse me for one charge for a third bottle of Acai slim and cancel the subscription which he insultingly advised me I failed to click that this was a one time purchase (I do not remember this option, a free trial should be just that a one time try of the product)... BUYER BEWARE, this website is not on the up and up and read the fine print or you will suffer as I did. Plus the product does not work any better than a placebo!! Eat a proper diet and keep out of the junk food!!
