TD Financial sent me a check for $4920 claiming I won $250, 000 in a Lotto 649 sweepstakes. They said the check was for the taxes I needed to pay on the winnings. The letter instructed me to call Susan Gibson at 416 837 2501. When I first called the number the voice mail said no more messages could be left. I called back and a guy answered, I asked for Susan Gibson and was told she was not their. I said I was calling in response to a letter I received, he asked me for my claim #, I gave it to him and call was disconnected. I called back and he apologized and asked for claim # again. He said he had the claim form their and I won $250, 000. I asked him how and he said through an online sweepstakes. I have entered sweepstakes before. He told me to deposit the check and call back after I deposited the check. Instead after talking to him I googled the company and found rip off reports on them. This company has to stop, The check looks like a real check and if you don't think like a criminal you wouldn't be able to figure out how you are getting scammed. Anyone who receives this should not stay quiet. MAKE Sure You report it. I reported it to FTC also.
