Called Vonage about 5PM July 29, 2008. Was told all kinds of misrepresentations of material fact.
1. No contract.
2. One initial charge of $9.99 to send router/adaptor.
Told them I needed to call ATT to check on how much extra I would pay for DSL as stand alone,
Ann from Vonage called back at 7PM.
I canceled order before ever placed.
Larry called back from Vonage within seconds after I canceled the order. I told him that I had canceled, do not call me, and; I slammed the phone.
I called Amex around 10PM to make sure no charges were pending.
They had two pending charges. I was obviously lied to and the two charges were more then $9.99.
I emailed Vonage telling them I never agreed/canceled after receiving an email from Vonage stating I had new service. I was told only customer service could cancel.
I called the number at 10AM on July 30. I was told I was lied to but; they could do zip.
Stay away from these folks. My FICO is 800 plus.
