I was contacted by Bill Powell of Galarie Concorde about five years ago. They informed me that due to 'unfortunate' circumstances, they were authorized to sell their clients art at a rates well below 'market' value. We could then resell the art at 50-300% profit (sometimes even higher). Subsequently, I was told that I needed to work towards collecting more pieces to become a 'house' type of account which resulted in the purchase of over $70, 000 of art. Even though my peices were 'banked' they never sold. At one point, I was near 'first position' on a few peieces and then my account was pasted off to Peter McMahon. My top position peices were immediately removed the from the bank and I was told I needed to continue to build my portfolio. The final straw for me was when I was asked to purchase an identical print of an art piece that I already held in my portfolio!!! All the art was supplied with a COA and all necessary paperwork includung an appraisal by Jorius Porks. In many cross references, I have found the art appraisal values much less than Mr. Porks and Galerie Concorde. I am now seeking legal consul for corrective action. Please let me know if you have a similar experience.
