Consumer check received in mail and looks legit but beware before cashing as it is phony

I received a letter from Consumer Research Resources congratulating me on an offer to be a Secret Shopper. The letter directed me to deposit their their check made out to me for $3, 980 immediately, and gave me a break down as to where the money would be spent. I would get $270, $30 on travel expenses, $100 to shop and they wanted me to money gram $3, 460 to them (they would cover the $120 fee to do so). Letter also gave me a number to call a Robert Mclaine at 1-450-675-6538 as he would be my account representative assigned to me.

Letter is signed by Ray Benzim.

I hope these people get caught.
