Scam to gain access to bank info

Mystery shopper is hoax.. general marketing is sending out checks for 2675 to deposit and send back 2200 via money gram this is a scam the check was sent from a pharmsuitical company why would they send money to be utilized for mystery shopping but they want a cut i refuse to deposit this chenck will call the bank that issues check that the best way to protect yourself.
