I received mail address to me, when I open the letter, the letter and the check inside was address to someone else with a name very simular to mine. The check was for 3150.30 and the Company claimed she had won 19800.00 USD in cash and a free 6 days all inclusive cruise.
Every time I called the representatives at Harris Financial Group to tell them about the mix up, I would put me on hold and then the call would be disconnected or the mail box would be full and I would not be able to leave a message. And when I was able to leave a message, I never got a return call.
The letter claimed that you had until June 11th 2007. And after this date all unclaimed would be forfeited. So for me time was of the essence.
So I decided to do a search on the internet and that is how I discovered Harris Financial Group and this scam recently reported by others, before I attemped to reach an attorney in Canada to try to get some assistance with this rude company, playing with peoples feelings, emotions, and family loved ones hoping for releif during times like these for the low man. While the rich get richer and once again the poor gets left out and taken, out of desperation, for a way out of the poor house.
