I am an ex employee of memberworks canada and wish to tell my story. I was first hired by them in feb 2003, they make it look so good. Training consists of 2 weeks in theory followed by 2 weeks in academy and only by graduating to you go on the phones.

My first supervisor was Britta who was real good to me, than I was transferred to Mark who he too was good. Then came Alain Turgeon who was a nightmare in hell. His job as a supervisor is to harass his agents and all he cares about is money. Memberworks is out there scamming people left right and center, he doesn't give a hoot about how hard the agents have it on the phones with irrate customers who have been falsely billed. All he cares about is retentions and money.

I was harassed by him 3 times. In which i had enough the last time. I approached enza ciampanelli who happens to be the retail manager about this and she could not be bothered so she turned my request over to a supervisor with the excuse she was going on vacation. So I took a leave of absence for 2 weeks in order to clear up my head. In which i went to texas and visited memberworks there in Houston. Let me tell you, the human resources manager Isabelle Savard here in montreal did not like that one least bit.. thats where all the trouples came for me.. Upon my return from my leave of absence alain turgeon decides to harass me again in which i was suspended for 2 weeks.

Upon completion of my suspension i somehow managed to get a hold of the ceo Gary Johnson's email adress and wrote to him letting him know how i was treated. I also brought it up to Isabelle.. she assured me they would do everything possible to correct this mistreatment from alain turgeon but in the end nothing happened to him and enza ciampanelli refused to let me know what the outcome was with the abussive supervisor and i got fired. Ladies and Gentleman and my fellow American citizens, mwi management mistreats everyone and anyone.. if you ever notice any unauthorized billing from them at all, do a charge back, do a charge back without thinking about it or have your bank representative call them and demand an immediate full refund. and do make sure full refund is specified.

Just take it easy with the agents who are on the phone with you, believe me when i tell you that they are under extreme heavy pressure not only from management but also from their supervisors. I enjoyed my work there and trying to help out all of you.. what memberworks does is they will falsely bill you for something you did not authorize and then the agents job is to try to convince you to keep it.. the agent either does his job, or gets fired eventually. And my dear fellow American citizens, when you are on the phone with an agent from mwi ask them if you were ever billed before in the previous months or previous years.. the agents have specific orders not to voluntarily release that information to you unless you ask.

If you were previously billed then ask for your refund, demand it and have your bank rep on line with you at all times.. memberworks hurt me bad with their harassement towards me caused by alain turgeon and he still continues to harass others, i know.. i have been told
