Hot Deals Canada
Employment Scam

I was very skeptical about joining Hot Deals Canada but I was intrigued with hope as well. I however have many useful tips for you to get you $75 that you invested for fees to this Rip off company, and I spent a few nights gathering information about the Foundation of this company which was pretty interesting yet deceitful, But in the end they mailed me a canadian Money order after I threatened them, and sent the Missisauga Police after them.

Here is all it how started. I applied for the job via The Daily Oklahoman, a week later a representative called from Hot Deals Canada for a five minute interview. A few Days later I receive this letter. (There will be more information to read after the letter.) Please be patient as the plot thickens...

After about a month of waiting I receive this letter approximately one week before Departure...

Sorry for the late reply. Our server has been disrupted by a worm. Despite our continuous efforts to overcome this problem, we are still experiencing serious difficulties. We appreciate your patience, and understanding in this matter.

Regarding the work permit visa, we have already submitted all the documents to Immigration Canada for processing. Our lawyer has notified us that due to the recent SARS outbreak in Toronto and the power outage, there is a backlog in processing the applications at the Immigration center. Therefore there is going to be delays in issuing the work permit Visas. However, we should still be getting the Visas by the first week of October. So we can start the training mid October. We will provide you with accommodation and transportation for the training. We will pre-pay for all those expenses. I'll provide you with the flight and hotel confirmation details by October 6th.

Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this situation, as it is completely out of our hands. You can start your position as soon as you obtain the Visa. Apologize for the inconveniences. If this process is taking too much time for you, and you have other matters to take care of, then please let me know. I'll arrange to return your deposit fee.

Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Francine

Subject: HotDealsCanada - Update

Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of HotDealsCanada, I apologize for our delay in responding to your inquiries. We have been experiencing a high volume of issues from our customers within the Call Center as a result of recent virus attacks to our network servers.
Over eighty-percent of our customers were affected by these attacks, in turn resulting in financial losses beyond our forecasts.

As the new fiscal year draws near, we are confident that these loses will be recovered by allocating funds for increased security measures. Our Management Team has prepared a new fiscal budget for Q1 which has recently been approved by the Board of Directors and investors. However, as a result
of this incident, it was decided that we postpone the start date of our new employees until January 5th 2004.

Our Team understands that this decision may impact your immediate plans, but we hope that you trust us during this difficult period. I can assure you that this time there will be no more delays, as our new Q1 budget focuses on new employee training. Our customer-base is still growing and we want you to
be a part of our growth.

Please let us know if this has affected your decision in any way, specifically if you decide to withdraw for our recruitment process. If you choose to withdraw, we will make arrangements to return you deposit fee.

We anticipate your response and do apologize once again for this unexpected mishap.

Yours truly,

Ms. Francine Tremblay
Operations Manager, HotDealsCanada

I Get a little upset as it has been two months, No calls just these Emails saying that it has been postponed again. So I do my Home work. I will share what I found with you now.

A receptionist or a Clerk for this office received your package. and the thiefs picked the parcels up here. Nothing more then a postal service.

I wrote an email to Mail Boxes etc. and I was only informed that the client closed service down a week before we were supposedly report to work. Plus if you made any long distance calls and Can do a reverse Phone number look. The number we had been calling is actually based out of Cooksville instead of Missisauga.

Also www.hdcanada.com was actually spnsored by Dollar Host and not by a legitamate ISP (Besides the point weren't they an ISP???)

I also called Human Resources development in Canada and they had no record of me. So now that I gathered my evidence I fought with a constable at the Missisauga Police Fraud Bureau. After Arguing with him for about 30 Minutes. He said he would get the check for me.

2 days later I receive this letter from Hot Deals Canada.
