My Bell/Sympatico plan says I get up to 25 GB per month for a flat fee. Two months ago they charged me $8 extra for going over and I didn't believe them so I got a Net Meter. All I do is email, read a few

forums, look at lol cats for a few hours every day. This month now

they've charged me an extra $50 so I contacted them by Live Chat. Here is what I was told, "I think the modem of yours has been reset and now the the firmware page needs top be updated with your b1 number. That is the reason why I cannot track your usage at my end. For this month nothing can be done. But in future to avoid this you can add usage insurance plan." When I told him my meter said I only used 1.5 GB he said, "Bell does not support any software that is not from bell." In other words, they cannot prove that I went over, and there's not a thing I can do about it. Except not pay the bill. For which they will terminate my service. What can I do now?
