Consumer Views Inc. a (Shopping Business Solution) sent me a $4820.00 cheque and directed me to deposit it to my account. During a waiting period for the cheque to clear, it has been noted by my bank that it was a fraudulent and counterfeit cheque and upon this reason have closed my bank account before notifying me with a negative balance and upon a direct deposit that was made via payroll continued to deposit the payroll deposit and would not let me withdraw any funds after covering the negative balance and stated that they will be sending me a cheque of the amount that is left over. After speaking to the Branch Manager at Bank of America in front of the teller, the teller then stated that they have already sent the cheque thus will be receiving MY cheque after 7 - 10 business days from today (June 27th, 2008).
First my bank says that they will be sending then after a conversing with the Branch Manager with whom the teller was present stated that they have sent a cheque. Which is it? My husband is in the state of disability and both he and I were relying on being able to withdraw the funds since Bank of America has closed the account on Friday, June 20th but received noticed via USPS on Monday, June 23rd and our mail does not arrive until after 3:30 PM, sometimes 4:30 PM!
I would like to have this company investigated thoroughly and will be filing a report with the local authorities here in California, as well, report Bank of America with the California Banking Commissioner's Office. Additionally, I will be scheduling an appointment with the World Wide Consumer Reporting News Agency, The Consumer Advocates Group and the Civil and Human Rights Agency of this!
