I was having problem with my Ati radeon x1900xtx 512mb graphic card, I called the toll free number to Mdg Computers that is listed on my contract, they stated I can go to my local location and they would provide me with the services I needed... Went to that location in Brossard they stated that they will change the card no problem since it has a defect or something like that. They were not sure exactly what the problem was but once done, they keep the old one and what is done is done...
At that point in time I had asked the store manager (the position he gave me) if I can change the casing.. He said yes no problem and everything would still be under warrinty with MDG.. To find out that they did in fact change it but put a card in that was way under & cheaper then what I originally had.
I went back and told them I want my old card back and never want to do business with them again... Shipped my card to home office, were they did change it and not ripp me off. (July 2007)
But now in March 2008 I am having the same problems with the card.. I called back the tec support toll free number that is on my contract and was told since I changed the casing of the computer nothing is under warrinty and pretty much too bad for you..I told them that a manager at the Brossard location said it was ok to change casing but they said with any proof of that they cant do anything. I dont think it is okay that people get away ripping people off like that. Now its going to cost me a new card, when its only been 1 year I have had my computer..
