I purchased a new video card off BTE Computer on ebay for $133.20CAD (126.11US), in the hopes of upgrading my system.
When the card arrived, the box was fairly damaged, I took pictures.
I took the video card out and installed properly using an anti-static wrist strap.
The video card was lagging my PC, which didn't make any sence, so I opened up to of my favorite online games, World of Warcraft and Battlefield 1942 and to my suprise there is many graphical distortions, in WoW, peoples heads where missing and in battlefield there where vertical lines everywhere. I formatted and did a clean install and updated drivers, same problem.
I sent the card back and was offered a refund or an exchange, I asked the seller if I could get the PRO version of the card that arrived damaged, he said for $12.54CAD more, which I paid promptly after returning the card (I paid for return shipping), he shipped out the PRO version of the card I originally purchased, same card but it was PRO version, or at least he had me think it was. When it arrived the box didn't look like it really suffered any damage, so I opened it and took out the retail box which had the new seal already broken.
The card gave my computer a hard time, rebooting my PC no matter what I tried. After removing the card problem was gone.
The seller promised me a refund so I returned the item again, this time alsom paying return shipping, and now the seller says he doesn't have to refund me, he knows I am in a financial slum because I told him.
He issued me an in store credit for the amount of $120CAD which was not even the agreed (actual amount he owes me $127CAD).
I have contacted my Mastercard and they are going to open a dispute after I fill out paperwork they are sending in the mail.
The man Roy is a fraudster! He also wouldn't let me talk to his 'boss'.
Also, he said he was putting the damaged box through to Canada Post to get me my original shipping refund $18US and when I asked him about it, he had no answer but said he was my enemy.
