Received letter and cashier's check for $2350. on winning ticket 041-906-331 dated 5/1/07. Letter stated check should be deposited and then call Angela Smith at 519-721-1252 for further processing. Gave 5/28/07 deadline to claim prize money. Check is drafted on Beneficial Saving Bank - routing # 236075689.
I saw the report entry from Wade in FL - same date, ticket #, and phone number - this is definitely a scam to get consumer info. If I had really won a prize, why mail just a small check??
If you get a check similar, check it with your state's Attorney General before depositing the check.
