I think the word rip-off is saying it lightly. I am now one of the few thousands of people that have been hit by this scam for $139. I went to my bank with the info of the scam and since this is check fraud instead of credit card fraud it takes longer to stop or to get your money back.
Don't bother calling the idiots at the other phone number, it is a third party and they are not helpful. They told me that my "REFUND" would be here in 7-10 buisiness days. LOL it has been 14, when I called the next person said it could take up to 3 months.
If you have been hit like me, and you bank is not responding quickly and you are getting lots of overdrafts, Demand a Federal Regulation E form and speak to a suporvisor or the area manager and let them know this was an unauthorized check.
