I have complained about this company before and this one is kind of update
They haven't paid me a penny yet. It has been 8 month so far but still sending me a lot of additional request so they can fool me around and wishing they can find a way they don't have to pay me the benefit.
8 month, people!!! 8 month!!! Why Do people get a disability insurance? Because they want to be financially protected when they get injured but this company is not protecting you. Please avoid this company. Don't make the mistake I made.
So far, they have requested hospitals I have been to previously entire my life, the hospitals, clinic and treatment that I have been since the claim, information regarding my auto-insurance claims. Now they want some sort of interview something.
2 days ago, someone she said behalf of the insurance company wants to make an appointment to do some sort of interview??? I wasn't sure about the person so I told her to ask the person at Penncorp to call me and explain about the procedure or send me an letter explaining it.(Don't people usually send a letter explaining what they want before they make you to do it? Well, I guess this company has no respect for customers so they don't even send a letter to inform you but just call you and ask to do it!!!)
For 2days waiting, I had no calls from the insurance company so I was wondering what was going on. I called Janet Mayo who was handling my claim picked up the phone luckily. (Usually, whenever I called she never picked up the phone but it went right to the answering machine. I left messages but she never gave me a call back.By law, the insurance company supposed to call you back within 24 hours during business days. but they don't want to speak with you because they don't want to pay your benefit and they don't have any excuses. The only excuse they have is they don't have enough info. yet.)
I asked her to send a letter explaining what the interview was for and asked her to send a letter explaining the purposes before they wanted me to do anything. She said she didn't have to. Of course I engaged an argument with her after she said that. I also asked how long the process would take more. She said she did not know. (After 8 month later, they still don't know when they would pay my benefit!!! Come on!!!)
She hung up the phone on me. I called she hung up the phone on me again.
People, this is how they operate the company. Do not make mistake I made.
One more thing, you know they have the complains page on their web site which customers can file complains? Don't be fooled by it. I have even spoke the manager but she was the exactly the same.
I will be continuously update regarding the claim and Penncorps behaviour. If anyone have a suggestion or can help me, please email me. I need all the help I can get.
