Duane Gibson (Manager) And Sales Associates Gibby's Sells defective amp (not an install problem), refuses to exchange for working one after 9 days

The sales rep. sold me a kenwood amp. I installed it a week later and it cut out at medium power. I took the amp back 9 days later and they said that they wouldn't exchange it for a working one and I have to go through the manufacturer to warrant it. They wanted me to pay for shipping one way and wait a month for it to come in. The sales rep and manager both gave alot of attitude when I argued that it was unfair.

They said that it was probably me that screwed it up because I didn't pay them to install it, which would have given it a 30 day warranty instead of a 7 day in store warranty. Meanwhile I am more then qualified to do the job. (I have many year experience in this as a hobby and I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering so I know that it was not a bad install, besides the fact that it was still working, just not properly.)

Even if I didn't know what I was doing, they would have exchanged it within the 7 days which doesn't make sense to me.
