Today I received a letter from this company, with a check for $3, 150 which supposedly "covers the charges/fees required to be paid, prior to receiving your winning." This does not sound legitimate.
The check appears to be written from "Trinity Products, Inc." - which my online search shows is not related to a lottery or gaming business. And it appears to be drawn on an account at "Enterprise Bank & Trust" in St. Peters, MO. This seems to be a legitimate US bank.
I sent emails to both Trinity Products & Enterprise Bank to inform them of my receipt of this check, particularly to warn them of a possible fraud that could affect their businesses. I expect neither of them to be aware of the nature of the check, and I have offered to send scanned copies to them both at their request. I also assured them I have no intention of cashing the check, unless they can provide evidence that it is legitimate. (I don't expect this to be the case.)
