Can't find record of payment, not filled order, ignore my communication and cancelled check! harrassement, threaten collection agency

These people are unreasonable. Two years ago I made an order. After months I finally got several of the items (which were pretty much garbage). Never yet received one of the items. I kept getting bills from them. I answered at length, made several phone calls. They claim to have no record of my order. Required canceled check, both sides which I eventually sent. Finally I got a coupon to replace what I hadn't received. They sent what I picked out after many more months WITH a bill for partial payment due.

I had paid in full when I ordered the first time and calculated shipping for the items I ordered. This coupon thingie gave me a stupid substitute. Apparently the money they claim I owe was from shipping the coupon item. I paid shipping for the first item which I never received (plus they have the payment for the first item that I never received) and if the payment they say is due is for shipping, it was paid.

They sent a phone number to call for satisfaction since that is their number one concern. I got none of that so called satisfaction! They were even rude on the phone and even though I explained that I have the canceled check and record of payment, that wasn't enough.

I again wrote lengthy letters explaining the situation. I have either been ignored or told that they have no record of my order. Since I have the canceled check, I said how can you have lost my order&you didn't lose my money! I consider my money stolen.

I have received repeated bills and threats of collection agency action. I just got a FINAL notice of action to a collection agency.

I am so pissed off at this company I will never order from them again. But that's the least of it... I would like some justice but don't really know how to get it without going to court. I have documented all interchanges. Oh, did I mention that the amount they say is due is $8.51!

My thinking is that since it's such a small amount they think that I will just get tired or intimidated and pay it and disappear because they are such a huge company that they figure they can get away with it.
