Do not respond to this letter if you receive it in the mail!!!
My wife got a letter in the mail claiming I won 120, 000.00 in a sweepstakes she never entered. They claim you won all this money and they sent my wife a check to cash for 4, 950.00 but are asking us to send them 2, 950.00 for the tax on the winning amount of 120000.00 We all know most of us suspicous ones that taxes are always taken out first before a check is cut. Also this came in regular mail. It was not Certified or Registered mail. My wife called and told them they were going to be investigated first to see if they were legitimate and they hung the phone up on her.
If you get similar letter DO NOT send them any money. Tell them you want your winnings in cash or Certified Bank Check or Money Order and tell them to take out the taxes themselves first.
THIS IS A SCAM. All of you people out there be very aware that people want your money and will do anything they can Illegally to get it.
