Just another individual to add to the list that these people are scamming. I too received a check in the amount of 2898.79 and was told I was a winner of 2nd Tier for a lump sum payout of 182, 610.00. I even went so far as to call the Bank of New York to see if the funds where available so that I could cash the check, what was funny was when I called the bank, they asked for the account number which was normal, but then asked for the routing number. If the check is drawn from that bank wouldn't they already know the routing number? The phone had alot of static on the line, and as with other banks you usually hear background noise of others talking or helping customers, there was nothing in the background and a very soft spoken woman, who you could hardly hear was asking the questions. There should be some way to put a stop to this kind of practice.
