I look at the check and the payor is Oneonta Daily Star, PO Box 25, Oneonta, New YOrk 13820. Oneonta is very close to the city I was raised and I knew this is a newspaper. I called the Newspaper and they said that another lady had called inquiring about the same type of check. SHe said it was a scam and to please sent the check to her attention.
