Tom Gillie at Huron Hardwood ripped me off!! Looks like someone else on this site is trying to get a class action suit against Tom!
We purchased $6000 worth of Hardwood from Huron Hardwood in November of 2008 with a promise of 3 weeks delivery. Apparently the order got cancelled at the mill and after a ton of emails and phone calls we finally got the wood in mid January. I was missing the bullnoses for my staircase and was promised that they would be in soon.
I ended up being a bit short on my first batch of hardwood so I needed to order another $1500 to finish the job. Tom assured me it would be turned around quickly and they would also send me the bullnoses. I placed that order on Feb 3rd 2009 and was told it was ready by the end of Feb. Tom called said everything was good and I paid him the money via PayPal. Now almost 2 months later and he won't return calls or emails. Still no hardwood either. I've contacted the mill in Quebec ([email protected] and they confirm the order is ready to go but can't release it without Tom's approval and he won't return their calls either!!
The product is nice so go directly to the mills website and buy from them. Tom lies through his teeth and cannot be trusted! Don't believe a word he says and please don't waste your money by placing an order with Huron Hardwood.
