We purchased over 3800 sq ft of Quickstyle Engineered Hardwood and within a couple of months the whole floor started cupping. This product was manufactured in an offshore country where humidity levels are much higher than in Western Canada. The moisture content of the wood is much higher, the boxes are shrink wrapped trapping all moisture inside. The manufacturer instruction specifically say "do not open the sealed containers prior to installation" in two sections of their instructions. After this hardwood was installed the excess moisture started to escape, the top of the boards release moisture faster than the lower which causes cupping. We returned to Rona, where we purchased the product, and were told to go through Quickstyle who are claiming that the product was installed improperly. According to other flooring retailers there are many, many claims against QUICKSTYLE! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!
