I bought a brand new printer the 9th of jan.2010 at Future Shop in Lasalle Qc. it worked perfectly until a few days ago when it abruptly stopped printing. I did the usual things suggested by the `Trouble shooting`directory, but nothing happens. On the 18th of this months I contacted the 1.800 No to speak to a technician, after multiple put on hold, I ended up with a 3 way conversation - never with the technician him/herself. However, I followed the instruction given - namely to move the toner cartridge back and forth - and try again - no result. I even took the cartridge out - with no result.
The next day - yesterday the 19th/02/10, I called again, finally spoke to a technician who after more of the same moves plus taking out the USB, decided that the printer was malfunctioning and not my computer!
He wants ME to take my brand new printer to a 50 km away place / or send it to Ontario to be repaired!!!
A company - proud of its name and service - would have replace or refunded the merchandise. I could have easily gone to Future Shop, exchange or get a refund - to me that would have been the sensible thing to do.
