Saw write up in a Jeep magazine, seat covers looked sharp, called company and spoke with owner Tim Taylor. Great guy, offered additional discount if I paid by money order. Tim said seat covers were perfect for Florida, repelled water and would not fade. Said they were in stock and would ship in 3 days.
Sent money order, one month later no seat covers. Made phone calls. If/when Tim answered he had ridiculous excuses. UPS mistakenly returned the package to him yet he could not provide a tracking number. Held up by customs at the border, etc. etc.
Heard every excuse in the book finally received an obscene, psychotic, rambling email. Called Edmonton Police, inquired about filing fraud charges. Said they'd visit his business. Seat covers arrived within a week.
They stayed wet, despite his claim they repelled water and faded despite using the UV Protectorant he recommended. Threw them away within 6 months, a #300 lesson.
Later I found out his is a real psycho and keeps changing his company names. His ebay account has been suspended due to negative feedback yet he opens new ebay accounts under aliases, halftop is his latest and it has already attracted negative feedback.
He does offer some unique products but...
