Ontario Savings: I recall a salesperson coming to my door asking to see my gas bill, to check if it was correct. The gas bill is under my mothers name. At the end I signed a form confirming they were they, and felt confident that the contract would not be activated (because I was told I would have to call in to activate it) and I had no intention to do that. 3 years later I have moved out of that residency, and a new tenant has taken over, including the bill. But under their own name. We were notified from Ontario Savings that we had broken our contract and would have to pay a penalty of $300 or so. I had no idea we were even in a contract. After talking to Ontario Savings by phone, they confirmed that finally a person named NANCY confirmed the contract!!! My name is Richard, and My mothers name is ANN... so who the hell is NANCY?..they apologized, told me it was an internal error, and that they would remove the contract penalty. (ok, thats great, but I have been paying a fixed rate for 3 years unknowing... and I feel I have been violated!)... to make it worse... 6 months go by, and a collection agency has now contacted my mother about this contract and asking for 300 dollars! Once again, I called Ontario Savings, but this time... they told me a GORDINNI person activated the account... not even close to our names. So, do I sue them for fraud? I am really angry, and now in a collection agency. When I never even activated any contract at all... and for 3 years have been ripped off by this company! What do I do? What can I do?
