RDG Careers
Breach of Contract

My name is Luke Henderson and I would like to submit a formal complaint with you regarding RDG Careers. I attended at their offices in the fall of 2008 as I had just returned from Korea and was looking for full time employment. I felt that since I had degrees in International Studies and spoke three languages including Chinese, Korean and English, a professional employment (headhunter) group should have little problem marketing me. My career advisor was Gordon MacKay and in the beginning they helped me frame my resume, cover letter and then were supposed to put my profile together to post on their networking system. They were very intense at selling their services but once I paid them $5000.00, their intensity dwindled very quickly. They were extremely slow at returning calls and emails, sometimes up to two or three weeks. I managed on my own to a contract job with Foreign Affairs in Ottawa in April 2009 where I am still working on contract, but since I still did not have a permanent position, I still needed the services of RDG Careers. The last time I had any contact with my advisor after countless emails and phone calls was about a year ago and he stated that we need to finalize a profile to put it online. He further stated that setting up meetings with managers and networking is the best way to go. He never contacted me after that. At the present I am prepared to retain legal counsel to recoup the $5000.00 fee as a Breach of Contact civil action.
