Sent a check from a place in Hamilton, Texas that did not have the funds available

I received a letter stating I had won $250, 000 and this check was to help pay for the Non-resident Government Service Tax. the check was for $4, 660 and the tax was supposed to be sent by money gram in the amount of $3, 640.

I had heard about a scam before so I looked on the internet for the nearest Extraco Bank and called them to find out if the check was good or not... and the account didn't have any money in it... I tried to call the place back, but no one answered the phone.

I am also going to talk to the post office to file postal fraud tomorrow. Hopefully someone will get something done.
