My husband received a letter from ING Direct stating that "we are pleased to advice you that you are one of the winners in the second category of Sweepstakes and Lottery Draw help on October 1, 2008."

"Enclosed is a check of UD $4, 950.00 which is deducted from your winnings. The purpose of this check is to pay for the Non Resident Government Service Tax. Taxes must be paid in full before winnings can be legally released. The payment information is stated below.

The worst part is that the check sent to us is from St. Lucie County School BD. in Florida. These people prey on people in need of money and the hopes and dreams of people. We did not cash the check but rather called the school board. I also googled the phone number they gave on the letter and it is a cell number in Vancouver.
