Fraudulent "award" of winning drawing. Ripoff

Today I received a very real looking check for $3, 120.00 as a "winner of North American Utilities draw (sic)." In checking online with F.A. Richard and Associates (account funds are drawn on their bank), it was discovered that this is a fraudulent scam. F.A Richard is aware of these criminals and they have a warning on their web site. The check is drawn on JPMorgan Chase Bank and looks extremely real. This hit me especially hard as I have MS, am raising my 4 year old granddaughter and could very much use the money. Before reality hit me, about a minute after I opened the letter, I had a fleeting hope this was real. I sincerely hope they catch these bottom feeder scum and lock them up for years.
