About a month ago I was contacted by NCO. They claimed that they had purchased my account from Fido and Microcell Communications, and that I owe $1092.58. I told the guy that I have never had a cell account with those two companies and that this must be a mistake. NCO as well as Fido and Mircocell, have my correct address, phone number and date of birth, but the have the incorrect SIN # and DL #. It was the SIN and the DL that were used to secure the accounts with Fido and Microcell.
I was told the I was lying about my own ID and that I was a rotten apple who will just continue to rot away in life if I didn't pay up. I offered to take my ID to the cops to have it verified, the guy response was to fax it to him! I said to hell with you pal and hung up. Today I get a "Without Prejudice, This is your Final Notice" letter, funny it is the first one I have ever got!
I am at my wits end and am unsure what to do.
