I made a $3000 purchase from sears.ca. To start with, the payment deferral plan was not applied. When I called to sort out this problem, I was told that part of my order was cancelled because the products are no longer available even though my confirmation email clearly states that they are in stock. Of course, no one called to inform me or emailed me to inform me that a portion of my order was cancelled. In fact, they sent me a bill before anything was delivered with charges for the cancelled items. In an effort to sort this out, I was juggled between the catalogue dept and sears master card, each one blaming the other. In terms of the rest of my order, I made arrangements with my condo to book the service elevators for the delivery and I booked a day off work because of the 6 hour delivery window. I called the delivery dept twice to confirm the details of my delivery. At 7:42 pm, the night before my scheduled delivery, I receive a phone call from the delivery dept and I am informed that the loveseat I ordered was not shipped in time for delivery. When I had called earlier that same evening, I was told that everything was going to be delivered?!? My entire experience with Sears Canada has been horrible. The products are not available and customer service is unreliable. I would recommend that you totally avoid sears unless you are prepared to be frustrated and charged for items that do not exist.
