Billed by Telus

CanopCo Incoporated had a problem with their bililng system and a number of people in Canada were billed for calls out of the Arizona Area. Telus is aware of the problem and asks that all customers call CanopCo to have the charges reversed. I called the number and waited 20 minutes on the line. I spoke with a young women who apologized for the error. She said that they cannot credit my telus bill directly so they would have to mail me a cheque.

This makes sense as it is my TELUS bill and not a bill controlled by CanopCo. Telus doesn't want to get stuck with a charge for a service that I may or may not have made. At the time of billing, they have no idea that its fraudulent. They make the assumption that I made or received the phone call. It's just logical. I can't blame Telus for this mistake. This is CanopCo's mistake and they need address it; hence the reason I had to call them directly.

Now, what burns me is that I have to pay my Telus bill and wait 4 to 6 WEEKS to get a cheque reimbursing me from CanopCo. Glad the amount isn't that much...
