Back in 2008, I showed an interest in the Acting Industry, so I decided to call Agencies all around Mississauga to see which ones looked reputable. I saw an ad the the newspaper saying :

needed for film, TV Series,

I decided to call, because I thought this would be a good starting job for me as a Fresh Face Actor, so I called and set up and appointment. I went, did an interview with Jason Cameron, and left. They said they would call if I made it in. And surely after 3 days of anxiously waiting, I got the call.
They told me It was REQUIRED to take acting classes through them, -although I had already done so in the past - and I was hesitant to say yes, but in the end I ended up paying

YES, $800.00
the FULL FEE was $1190.00
but JC offered to pay $390.00
BIGGEST SCAM EVER.
So, the Class was 4 weeks
- ONE LESSON PER WEEK, WITH 2 HOURS .
The classes were HORRIBLE . All the things i learned there, I could've learned form an instructional video on You tube.
BUT, of course i was naive so I went to all the classes
Just to find out in the end that EVERYONE passed (even the WORST of actors) and was recommended to the Intermediate Level.
WHICH IS A WHOPPING
$495.00
Jason Cameron recommended that I should take the Intermediate classes, but I was not THAT stupid to see it was a scam.
- SEEING THAT BOTH COURSE OUT LINES FOR BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE WERE THE SAME.-
About a week after the classes were done, they then called me in for a photo shoot through THEIR agency, they said that I could only use THAT particular photographer.
The rates pf the Photo shoot are as follows:
2 LOOKS (COMMERCIAL & THEATER)
B/W OR COLOR
which includes :
Hair (I did myself)
Makeup (poorly done, they were NO WHERE close to my shade.)
Studio
Labour (WHAT LABOUR?)
Film
Reprints
1 Look= 50 Shots (each $5 ) = $250 tax
2 Looks = 100 Shots (each $3.95) = $395 tax
I ended up paying for the 1 look package which cost me* $ 275 *
and when I got to " MY PHOTO SHOOT" there were several people there doing there's (not workers)
Well you think after I've spent over $1000 I wouldn't have to spend any more right?
WRONG!
After the photo shoot I had to pay a Semi-Yearly Administration Fee :
*$60*
which on the contract it says is for " Break Down Services, Courier Costs etc.."
- I signed the contract on January, 20 . 2009.
WHAT BREAK DOWN SERVICES???
TALK ABOUT SCAM.
SO IN ALL I SPENT $1135 ON NOTHING.
and I have ALL the individual yellow receipts to prove it.
One of my friends during the classes also signed with the agency and is now in the same predicament as me.
Mind you were both only 15.
