I met Alena several years ago when she helped and provided support for our adopted shelter puppy. I have since become well associated with Alena and Labradoodle Passions. I have had several years to get to know and work with her. This woman amazes me with her unconditional passion and devotion to her family and towards animals. She is well educated and experienced as a certified groomer, vet assistant, dog trainer and animal care aide worker. She has given her time and support to multiple SPCA functions and helped train and care for pets at the Animal Control Shelters and several vet clinics. Alena is a very gentle up front and honest mother and wife. She does not take part in or believe in bad mouthing, threatening or gossiping about other breeders or people. If you ask her a question over a matter she will respond honestly and from her heart. She will not mock or run down others or post false or misleading articles as Jamie Sheppard claims. Anything I have asked Alena regarding Jamie she answered truthfully and has shown me official legal documents sworn affidavits, signed letters and official emails to prove her innocence.
Alena is a quiet sweet loving lady with a history of helping and rescuing neglected or abuses dogs. I do believe her continued caring nature was what got her into this dispute and law suit to begin with. She tried to help a few dogs and a breeder that was tight on cash. In the end her kindness started this mess. I believe because she puts herself out on a limb way to often trying to help others leaves her more susceptible to bullies and abuse. I would recommend some assertive stills on Alena's part to deal with these kind of people.
I have learned of and witnessed many very competitive dog sales people and breeders. They have taken to bad mouthing as part of their approach to discredit others and boost their sales. I have witnessed Alena having to deal with rude phone calls, threatening emails and false postings like this. Jamie seems to have a personal vindictive nature to want to harm her and anyone associated to her. I have met several people now that have worked or had to deal with Jamie personally, former workers Gibson residents, It appears he enjoys causing hardship to many people not just Alena.
I understand the need for so many breeds and crosses. The wide range of human personalities and life styles requires a diversity in dog breeds. Alena taught me and explained her breeding philosophy behind home raised puppies vs. kennel raised pups. She has expressed many times her need to lend a helping hand in the dog world and not to mock or run down other breeders, to be open minded.
Alena does not support dogs that are neglected emotionally, that are left in a pen solely for breeding. As she has rescued abused and neglected dogs from kennel neglect in the past. Dogs that are emotionally abused and neglected in coat care and suffer from lack of human interaction.
Alena told me she respects the large amount of time that Jamie has put into building an open farm like kennel. That is why she placed a few dogs with him. Her dispute with him was not over his kennel buildings but over Mr. Sheppard not paying for dogs as agreed. It took her two and a half years to get the adoption fees she asked for. Alena had to sue him as he refused to pay for the dogs and follow the agreed signed contract.
She forwarded her Jamie file to me so I could read over it to try and make sense of what was happening between these two.
If Jamie won the court case that Alena filed, why would he have e-mailed her this? This is proving and catching Jamie in a lie.

I realized after sending the e-mail from Kijiji that I could not save it. So, for the record, are you prepared to negotiate a settlement for the slander and defamation suit or shall I proceed with the litigation.

Truly Alena is being WAY TO NICE and does not want to take part in Jamies petty name calling and childish postings. I want to share my experience over this matter and the false posting he has decided to spam the internet with. I do feel she is a victim to his endless hate crimes towards her. I can see that Alena is stuck in the middle of a dispute between another breeder and Jamie. People should be aware of what Jamie is doing to this girl and her family.
I have read several emails now were he has threatened and has bullied several women. This email was send to Holly at Westcoast Urban doodles, not labradoodle passion as Jamie believes and told multiple people.
Hi Alena, here is the letter you wanted regarding what Jamie Shepard said about you from Winsome kennels. when i had the conversation with him last year he was very angry and screaming at me. i was very scared of him. he said he was coming to my house with the police and having me arrested for the dog he said i stole. when i had the second conversation i told him i now knew who he was after asking you about the phone call and that he was the man that had not made payment for your dogs. Jamie said you had made the whole thing up and that you were crazy and insane. that you needed help and to watch out for you. this i didn't understand because why would you make this stuff up. and why would you be so upset with this situation knowing Misty was up at a kennel to be bred by someone who you thought was going to make good on his agreement. i'm very uncomfortable with this man. i don't want to talk to him again he scares me. so could you please ask that he is not allowed to contact me again. After reading pages of emails and complaints over this man, I believe he should go and have a medical evaluation and request help and some counseling. He appears to have some form of paranoia, were everyone is out to get him. He clearly is expressing an anger problem. He seems to twist what the true reality is with what he believes to be the truth. It is clear he feels or enjoys playing the poor victim routine and likes the attention is generates.
I have noticed comments posted over the internet about his kennel several times. Were Mr. Sheppard would have you believe Alena or Labradoodle Passion was behind it or writes Victoria breeder and later names her. As Alena does not breed golden doodles or breed dogs as a business, I don't see the threat of competition. Alena very rarely breeds dogs as labradoodles are a very small scale hobby of hers. She tends to help other breeders and rescue or help dogs in need. Labradoodle Passion has complete health records on the 3 to 5 dogs that are all placed in Guardian homes. I have seen her foster contracts and she only retains a few breedings not the multiple breeding and multiple dog breeds Mr. Sheppard claims. I have seen many links to pictures of Mr. Sheppard breeding his dogs every 6 months, and emails were entire litters have died at winsome kennels. These two breeders are very different I don't understand why Jamie feels the need to point fingers and cause problems.
Even with a signed sworn affidavit from another Victoria Golden Doodle breeder admitting in court she was responsible for the adds were Mr. Sheppard accused Alena of posting.
I do believe Mr. Sheppard would benefit from a receptionist to keep his facts and paper work in order. I can't help but wonder if the shear volume of his business is confusing him on who said what.

The SPCA manager PW Ward was fired from the Sunshine coast SPCA. She was friends with Mr. Sheppard. The Sunshine coast SPCA has records of entire litters being surrendered by Jamie as Mr. Sheppard had to many puppies for kennel.

It is clear you are a very disturbed person that wants to take down or cause hardship for anyone making it harder for you to sell your 500 puppies a year.
I'm not disputing his kennel but bringing attention to the false statements towards Alena.

I don't have a problem with you selling your dogs but I really do have a problem with your innuendos and fear mongering. You are a very stupid woman if you think it is going to help your business by making people afraid to buy the breed. "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Why don't you have your name posted to all the ads you have put in? Your business tactics leave a lot to be desired and I will be pointing that out to any potential clients. I will also point out that you seem to condemn people for making money off their breedings but I do have to wonder how you could possibly live in a house with as many large dogs as you seem to have as "family pets".
