I own a home improvement company and always get involved in Home Shows that are in our area. Home Shows are a great way to get our name out to the public and also to gain some business.
We recently signed a contract with Showtime Productions, contact person Justin McConnell, to be in the Kentucky Fall Home Decorating and Remodeling Show that was to be held in September at the Kentucky Expo Center her in Louisville.
Two weeks prior to the show (on a Monday) the office manager was able to finally speak to Justin, after many, many attempts. She was inquiring about the move-in packet that we had been expecting. Justin said that the packet was being mailed that day and that we should receive it in two days, which would have been Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, but no package was delivered. Daily calls were made and messages were left, but no calls were returned.
Just two (2) days before the show was to be held, we were finally able to speak to Justin. At that time, we were informed that the show had been cancelled. No reason was given as to why we hadn't received a phone call about this cancellation.
I immediately requested a refund ($3500) during this conversation and followed up with an email and postal mail also requesting a refund.
Since this time, we have made numerous calls and had to leave messages every time. Not one of these messages have been returned.
Today, finally getting in touch with them by using a cell phone instead of the business lines, someone answered the phone. I was called a 'pyscho' for leaving messages and being so demanding that someone return the call.
I fear that my money has been taken from me and that it will not be returned. After doing further research into the company, I firmly believe that there wasn't going to be a show... EVER!
