Liberty Fianancial/ North American Prize Pool/ Licentcom Inc
1 of 20 winner of Lottery 125, 000.00/ Liberty Financial/ Licentcom Inc SCAM New York/ Alberta

Very much like reports 314312 and 272153. I recieved a letter from Liberty Financial from NY stating I was 1 of the 20 winners and will recieve 125, 000.00. Also enclosed was a check for 3, 830.00 to cover the adminitrative fees and capital gains tax. I called and they instructed me to deposit the check and to call them within of 24 hours of doing so. I had done many things to investigate. I tried to call Liberty Financial in NY but the voice box was full. There wasn't a message stating the name of the company at all. I took the letter and check into by bank branch and they stated if you don't remember entering a lottery then it's a scam. One teller stated that if it's from Canada it's a scam. They envelope was postmarked Canada, the letter head was Liberty Financial in NY and the check was from Licentcom INC in Dallars TX-Yes spelled incorrectly and also had a bogus zip code. I then notified the county to see if there were any other inquiries made about this company. They sent an officer right away to look at the letter and check. The check looked good but there were many mistakes in the letter itself. The officer then took a copy and went to investigate it more. I was called back in less than an hour telling me that it was a scam. The officer came back and I gladly gave him the letter and check. He stated that anyone can buy checks with watermarks or security marks at any office store and use them. The officer seeked and found out that the bank on the check Silicon Valley Bank had no such account for this Licentcom Inc. With all the distruction in many states lately I would hate to have anyone fall into this scam. Rule # 1--If it seems to good to be true, It probably is.
