For the past couple of months I have been fighting FedEx over a billing issue that, to me, seems fairly straight forward.
I shipped a package from a local FedEx store to the US. I sent it by ground and payed for it in cash. Apparently the receiving party called FedEx and had the shipment changed from ground to economy. The difference was suppose to be billed to the receiving parties FedEx account number.
Move forward a couple of months, I receive a bill for $500. Apparently they lost the receiving parties account number. I contacted FEDEX with the information and was told it was taken care of.
All was well till the collection agency called. Apparently the account was in bad standings and the bill never moved.
So now I am being told that because the receiving party made the change, the bill is payable to me. I did not ask for the change, nor did I approve of or was asked to make the change.
