I received a letter informing me that I had won a lottery from Reader's Digest which I did not enter along with a check for $3800.00 from Global Financial Investment Services the check is supposedly drawn on a Texas Bank. The Bank is real, however at this writing it is closed for the day so I cannot verify anything about this check.
My gut instinct is this is phony so I called the BBB and sure enough he informed me that it was a phony. Luckily for me I have caught the BBB report on the local news and knew this cannot be real.
I just want to remind everyone if it sounds to good to be true it probably isn't and I am glad I didn't fall for this.
