On november 9th, I recieved a letter stating I was a prize-winner of $33, 000.00. The letter stated I was to phone the agent Steve Jones. When I did, Steve Jones then instructed me to deposit a check for $4950.00 that was include in the prize-winning letter. Afterwards Steve Jones phoned me and instructed me to send a payment for taxes in the amount of $2900.00.
A day or two later Steve Jones again phoned me and instructed me to send him a second payment of $1500.00. Again the payment was for taxes. After sending the second payment, my bank notified me that the Paramount"s Carowinds check for $4950.00 was "counterfit"!
