2006 May 6, 3 used car units arrived to the port in Richmond BC. They were not allowed to Canada because of the modifications on the cars. We tried to fight back as the cars would get crashed and we would loose money. The problem with this is every requirement that is written on the web-site and regulation is met with the imported auto. However Transport Canada is telling us (importers) that they are modified (aka engine swapped or aftermarket seats are put in, different wheels that are not OEM) therefore they are considered to be less than 15 years of age.
What they say is that if you changed oil 5 months ago on the car and its not OEM then its 5 months old car, pretty much brand new car, but its not true plus they dont have any regulations written on paper anywhere to what is allowed to be "bolted on" to the car and what is not. It seems like tis going to be going for so long and we are young guys and they are taking advantage of this fact. I am seeking for more help from professionals like you as this is completely non-sense.
