No surprise and no free gift

I rec'd with my readers digest magazine a yellow card named preferred Subscriber surprise gift waiting for you. To claim it just go to www.rd.ca/surprise. Guess what? No surprise and no free gift. What's that? Why send out these cards to subscribers if there is no gift or purpose to it? I am now re-evaluating my opinion of Readers Digest in all aspects.
