Trevor sent me an email stating that he is not currently and has never been at any time a member of this site. further, he states that he has never made a single post on this site and has not been here a single time since february of last year. i promised him i would make a public statement of his official position on the matter.

MAYBE he just read on our brother site about the Anonymous Internet Harassment Law that President Bush signed into being in 2006. Recruiting others to do this action would also be applicable under this law...

perhaps you are right, but i suspect he has little concern over such issues. he has retained lawyers and is apparently planning to file to have this site shut down and removed entirely. i assume that he has parallel action pending against SSS2 and it's owner. i asked if there were middle ground, but apparently there is none. my discussion with him was, however, cordial.

Cordial discussions, eh? What's cordial about threatening to shut someone down? Did he, by any chance, tell you on what grounds? Nothing that has been said on EITHER site is untrue. Yeah, truth is sometimes ugly but being ugly isn't a crime... telling the truth isn't a crime...

well, there is usually more saber rattling than swordplay, in my experience, and if he thought he could shut me down it's hard to imagine why he would have waited to this late date to make his play. i am not saying that he is bluffing, only that it seems pointless. there are to my knowledge no comments made here that are not based on facts, and where there are no damages there really is no legal libel. he would be hard pressed to show that a handful of offended former customers have materially affected his business or his reputation by commenting unfavorably on his and his staff's activities.
in the almost unimaginable situation where he might succeed in court and force the owner to eliminate this site, it isn't like i am going to the wall. i will still be around, as will the other members which they continue to ban. his view that he or his staff can ban members at will and not expect that such members will be finding avenues to express their resentment is both short sighted and in contradiction to actual human nature. people who are pissed at singsnap and mcguire, annie and the rest will just find other sites. does he expect to shut down facebook and myspace and google to eliminate his critics?
i do know now that he felt that my original suspension and subsequent permanent ban were fully justified, which eliminates a trace of reticence i had had about criticizing him personally. i had been told by others that he did not know the circumstances surrounding my (in my opinion) unjustified ban, or that if he did that he had since come to regret it or considered it excessive. alas, such does not appear to be the case. he did not tell me who ratted out my alias at the time i first appeared here, and i did not ask, but i was initially suspended not for anything i did here, but for my actions in defending a female member on the singsnap site. i had even ceased in my defense of the member and been entirely inactive on the boards when i was suspended. regardless, my purpose is no longer to defend my position at that time, for that is far in the dim past. those involved in shitcanning me did it not to protect singsnap or to defend the nebulous TOS/COC but merely out of pure spite and they know it as well as i do. i'm gone and they have presented to trevor an unattainable goal to allow my return.
i did not ask nor did i seek to return. i never have. i do not see why i ever would. my opinions here are based on what i truly believe to be accurate analyses of the facts as i see them. some angered people have passed through this site over the last couple of years and have used language that at times has been coarse and brusque. i have done the same. people who are or feel offended or frustrated or cheated tend to use such language to describe the ones they feel have treated them with disregard. this is a protest site, and it always has been. we make no bones about that. if mcguire wants to make a federal case out of being called balding, or a bad singer, or goofy, then i suppose the judge can decide the merits of such a case. his batman video and his singing videos can be provided to the court to judge whether he is has acted the goofy tone dear marvel or is a crooner with a panache for stagecraft. if he wants to defend annie for her antics and the descriptions people have made of them as well, then he can provide the sequestered videos and forum discussions to the court for its consideration.
i had been asked to contact him on numerous occasions by shanda and katie and others, to try and settle scores. i made the move and initiated conversation with him as a sincere effort to do so. i did not go with the intention of unilateral disarmament nor in the opinion that i had any apologies to offer. i certainly did not go with the view that any apologies would be forthcoming regarding how i or other members have been treated. i believe that my conscience is now clear and that i have gone as far as a reasonable man should be expected to go in repairing the breach in the wall. he and his staff continue to see this and SSS2 as hate sites and all of the members to these sites as blanket haters. no one on singsnap staff has modified their view or position on us at all. they want us entirely and finally eradicated from the internet and all our views erased from public view. i felt that i had to politely decline.

I think the presiding judge on that case of his (if it ever went that far which it wouldn't cause like you said Michael we only print the news. The truth. Their OWN words)) would be interested in knowing he knowingly and willfully hacked into this site and shut it down for hours and gloated about it gleefully.
Oh, and did it on several occasions.
It is very easy to deem us hate sites because we dare to print your own words and discuss them. If you suck sir, then you suck. Period. None of us hack into other sites and technically tear them down for hours where members can no longer register.
Let's add one other thing since I'm on a bloody roll. How about handing over a video SET TO PRIVATE from a closed banned account to a regular Singsnap member (in this case Shanda) to use for harassment on Youtube. A video of the long gone member in her underwear.
Two accounts were created for that crime. One to upload that video and the other to make it look like some guy posted a comment there.
That video was made a year before Shanda became a SS member and was set to private a very long time ago. The woman in the video did not even know Shanda.
How in the bloody hell did Shanda get a hold of a video set to private in a closed banned account? Did you know about that Trevor? HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE MISTAKE.
It's already been traced back to her so don't bother trying to deny. Way too late. Youtube has been very cooperative.
