As a result of process, ACE cannot/will not support or guide me through being blocked by a co-POA (jointly/severally) in the attemps to maintain a loved one's lifestyle. The co-POA had the loved one deemed incompitent after relentlessly contacting the nursing home interim director and subordinate staff. Following which the co-POA took the provided document to the loved one's bank and proceeded to cancel the loved one's credit card and bank access card. Following this the co-POA insisted the bank online access once again be cancelled as they have done this in a few years previously. Currently there is very little that can be done unless one is expected to spend their own money to provide the loved one with a lifestyle she has worked hard and saved her money to provide herself. Every bill payment must be done in person at a branch only payees previously set up in the loved one's account. Any e-transferrres are forbidden. ACE suggested they would contact the loved one on her cell but there has been no indication this has happened nor have I been contacted for further direction. If there is an advocacy agency for the GTA that actually supports the elderly, I welcome their contact info as ACE has been quite a disappointment.
