I received a check for $4250 drawn on the 1st Hawaiian Bank (Account Holder: Prince Golf Course LLC). The letter that accompanied the check was from a Kimberely Reuband at Tri-Star, Inc. The letter also stated that I would need to use $2750 from the check to get the additional prize winnings of $175, 750 sent to me via fedex. I immediately went to complaint to see if anyone else had received a similar letter/check.
Of course, I found two folks that had received similar letters with checks drawn on different banks! This "company" will request a money order from you in the amount of $2750 and then once you try to cash the check, it will bounce leaving YOU out the money and Tri-Star $2750 richer! You will not be able to do anything since this outfit is not a US company.
BEWARE! This is a SCAM... I am planning to contact this legitimate bank and report this to their fraud department.
