Recieved a letter informing me of winning $250, 000.00 and included in the letter was a check for $4, 993.00. All looked well and on the up and up until you read further. In order to claim the winnings the "Goverment Taxes" needed paid to the sum of $2, 995.00 by Western Union. At this point one begins to wonder? Letter was recieved in plain envelop no return address. $250, 000.00 is a lot of money you would think it would rate a certified letter. They send a small check up front to cover taxes? Send me the money I will pay my own taxes. In all could not find a Markham Securities INC. on the internet, was not liste with the BBB, USA or Canada. What I did find was a complaint from another person stating it was a Nigerian scam and is being investigated by the FBI.
