Received a letter stating I won a sweepstakes for 485, 000.000 they sent me a check for 4, 800.00 which looked real and wanted me to deposit in my bank acct. that was to cover the taxes due on my large winnings gave me a tax agents name to contact... I didn't because I didn't want to get talked into something wrong I looked up the company on the check and it is a real company in new jersey, pa. I don't know if this scam is just using their name without their knowledge so I am emailing the company also anyway the payment method was to be by money gram... so you deposit this into your acct. call the tax agent and he gets a money gram from your bank you end up paying a total stranger 4, 800.00 dollars out of your pocket because the bank will come after you for the money thats not in your acct. beware I received a similiar letter a few days ago with a check and it looks so real I took it to the bank and ask them to look it over and they told me it was a fake just ditch it...
