We got a letter and check stating we had won a shoppers sweepstakes.they wanted us to cash a check for $4980.00 and then send them a moneygram or western union for the amount of $2995.00 to cover taxes on the supposed winnings in the amount of $250, 000.00.The check was from Bryan Bank and Trust in Richmond HIll, GA which was the first clue something was wrong along with the envelope which was postmarked"Fraud-prevent it"we checked the bank and it was not a valid account. We then checked rippoff report and found out this is happening to other people. Don't risk your bank account on this scam.
